Darts, in my opinion is one of the most gripping, exciting, adrenaline filled sports around yet it doesn’t seem to gain the world wide interest and respect I think it deserves. Don’t get me wrong, the British are HUGE fans of the sport but I do think it’s a shame it isn’t recognised on a bigger scale.
BET NOW
The game is contested between two players, a dart board, three darts each and hundreds of beer filled screaming fans. Both players start on a score of 501 and must score points to get them down to 0 as soon as possible. The dart board is made of numbers from 1 – 20 around the board in a mixed up order, then on the centre we have a small green circle with a smaller red circle inside, the green ring is worth 25 points and the red circle is worth 50 points, this is also known as the ‘bullseye’. Each number between 1 and 20 also has two sections inside it, one at the top and a smaller one in the middle, the red one at the top means you score double those points, for example if you hit double 20, you get 40 pointes knocked off your total, the green section means you hit treble the amount of points, so a treble 20 would get you 60 points. The more points you get the better because they come off your 501 total, however to win the leg you must end on a double, for example if you have 32 remaining, you would aim for double 16 to see out the leg.

Paddypower.co.uk is in my opinion the best betting site available out of the hundreds on the internet. I think this is because I am a member of Paddy Power and they seem to go the extra mile compared to other websites, I am a member of a couple of dozens of these sites but www.paddypower.co.uk are the only one who send me frequent emails with fantastic offers but also take a humorous approach in their emails, it genuinely is like getting an email from a good friend offering you the chance to win some money from them, for example, I was at work today and received an email giving me a FREE £10 for absolutely nothing.
BET NOW
paddypower.co.uk have any different areas to their site just like others, the main one being the sports section. They also have Live Betting on there which is where you can bet during a live match, it is an interesting way to bet because the odds are constantly changing throughout the match or game you’re betting on. Again like most of the other sites there are sections for casino betting and poker betting because there is nothing bigger at the moment online than being able to play in a casino without leaving the comfort of your own home. An extra thing I have noticed on Paddy Power that not all sites have yet is the mobile section, being able to log onto the site from your mobile phone and placing a bet, some might see this as dangerous being able to place a bet so easily but I think it is a fantastic idea.

I personally think that this advert is slightly a waste of space, mainly because I have taken this from The Sun and although I did pull this from the sports section, they have their rivals also advertising in the paper with much bigger adverts. I actually also missed this advert when I was looking through the paper. The advert is for Skybet.com and the background is made up of simply a tuft of grass with a champions league football on it. The offer is being classed as a “Champ’s League Special” where they are offering customers fantastic odds of 6/1 on Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool all progressing through from the last 16 of the competition into the quarter finals. The advert is then made up two ways of being able to take advantage of the offer, by calling the number on the bottom or visiting the website www.skybet.com where they will have lots of other odds and offers available.

www.coral.co.uk – The biggest domestic club cups in the world was at its fourth round stage this weekend and for everybody that was hoping for a few surprises was only left with Swansea’s fantastic 2-0 win at last year’s winners Portsmouth.
Two 1st half goals won it for the Coca cola championship side with the 1st being scored by on loan striker Dyer and then a Jason Scotland penalty on the stroke of half time were enough to crank up the pressure on manager new Tony Adams questioning his ability to manage at the highest level so early in his Coaching career.
BET NOW
Arguably the tie of the round was at Anfield with Liverpool and Everton battling out yet another Merseyside derby and it was less surprising that it once again ended in a stalemate with Lescott scoring the opener for the away side then who else but Stephen Gerrard sending this game into a replay at Goodison with a typical finish.
Manchester United fought out a 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the other 4th round game at Old Trafford with Russian Pavluchenko heading Tottenham into an early lead before Paul Scholes and then spurs old boy Berbatov sent the Red Devils into the 5th round.
Chelsea sailed through their home tie with Ipswich 3-1 with midfield maestros Lampard (1) and Ballack (2) scoring the goals for Chelsea. Crowd trouble marred Hull’s 2-0 victory over Millwall with the South Londoners fans intent on causing trouble and I feel it is time for the FA to take action against this clubs fans once and for all.
Sunderland and Blackburn will have to do it all again after drawing a blank at the Stadium of light. West Ham and Fulham overcame lower league opposition to progress and Arsenal had to battle hard in their 0-0 draw with Cardiff.

www.paddypower.co.uk – The match between Manchester United and Chelsea could be considered one of the most highly anticipated match as Man U faces off with arch-rival Chelsea, who is currently leading in the Premier League charts. Much speculation has been going around that Man U was of no match against Chelsea. Claims of Man U being afraid to face-off with Chelsea can now be deemed as only rumors which hold no truth in it.
BET NOW
Manchester United displayed great team spirit and their players were eager to emerge as the winners. The match ended with a final score of 3 – 0 as Chelsea players and manager left the stadium feeling disappointed and thoroughly defeated.
The opening goal came in just before half-time by Nemanja Vidic with the help of his team members. This wasn’t too bad yet as Chelsea was still able to close up the small gap. The next goal came in at 63 minutes into the game by Rooney, which brought the game up to a whole new level.
Chelsea players must have felt the intense situation. Despite the lack of threat towards Man U, Michael Carrick was not allowed on the field, which indicated that Chelsea had only one striker, Drogba. In times like this, a desperate call to play the attacking position should have been employed.
The final straw came about, which left Chelsea absolutely no way in regaining victory for that night was when Berbatov scored just 3 minutes before closing time. Fans were upset with Berbatov for not scoring earlier on in the game could now rejoice for this have closed the gap between Man U and Liverpool.

www.coral.co.uk – The game of Cricket has hit the headlines once again this week and yet again it is for all the wrong reasons.
PLAY NOW
Allen Stamford who is a Texan Billionaire with a love for the beautiful game if Cricket is threatening to pull out of his 5 year plan in the twenty-twenty format of the game. All this seems to have come about after the English press cruelly in my opinion wrote bad things about the man after he was spotted with a few of the English players wife’s in a bar with one of them being pregnant (wicket keeper Matt Prior’s wife) sat on his lap, while their husbands were out playing in the multimillion winner takes all tournament that happened over in the Caribbean a couple of months ago.
The Texan billionaire Allen Stanford’s commitment to cricket was mired in uncertainty on Wednesday after his spokeswoman said he was "evaluating his options" following reports he was turning his back on the game was the official response from his camp but you cannot help thinking it is all the British Press that are to blame after they once again write things before finding out the truth which unfortunately is a common occurrence with the journalists of today.
Personally with the credit crunch as it is today also you cannot help thinking that Mr Stamford also wants’ to hold on to what he has piled up over the years and with him already giving his superstar team 20 million US dollars for beating England you can’t help thinking he is utilising a clause in his contract that gives him the chance to pull out without completing the 5 year contract he had signed up for.

Arsenal after losing their last two league games to far less superior opposition looked like a team that could win the league again with them hustling Manchester United from the kick off and thoroughly deserved their 2-1 victory with Nasri grabbing both goals.
Chelsea have gone back to the top of the summit after grabbing a 2-0 win away at Blackburn Rovers with much travelled striker Nicolas Anelka grabbing both goals to continue his own good form.
Robbie Keane who has had an agonising three months wait to break his league duck for Liverpool scored his 1st then only had to wait 9 minutes to grab his 2nd for Liverpool in their 3-0 home demolition of West Brom who now find themselves in the bottom 3 and in a relegation battle.
Hull City who after a brilliant start to the season now are finding out how hard this is and after Saturdays 1-0 home defeat by Bolton have dropped down to 6th in the table.
Tottenham continued their remarkable form under new manager Harry Redknapp by grabbing a 2-1 away victory at money bags Manchester City with Darren Bent grabbing a brace and Brazilian Robinho replying for the home side.
Everton left it late before beating West Ham 3-1 on their travels, Lescott (83) and Saha (85, 87) getting them the win after Collison had put West Ham 1 up.
The other 2 games had Sunderland losing 2-1 at home to Portsmouth with Defoe grabbing the winner in the last minute from the penalty spot and Wigan and Stoke battling out a goalless draw.
