The league championship in fairness does look like staying at Old Trafford as Manchester United are looking good to take the title again with some low football odds, but Liverpool are not giving up without a fight, only three points behind the leaders. Even Chelsea have made a late surge and mathematically can still win the league, although the chances are pretty slim.

The bottom end of the table looks a lot more interesting though as there are six teams still battling it out to survive and have another season in the Premier League. Those teams are West Brom, Middlesbrough, Hull City, Newcastle United, Sunderland and possibly Portsmouth. It doesn’t really look good for West Brom as they MUST win their final two games but hey, they have done it before so why not again.

Middlesbrough and Hull City both currently complete the bottom three as their form is terrible, Middlesbrough having won only one game in 20 games and Hull City were sitting in 6th position at Christmas looking for a European spot and now battling for survival. Newcastle and local fierce rivals Sunderland are just outside the relegation zone with everything to play for.
